Recently I read so interesting and exciting book which I would like my great friend to send for me.
So, today's speech is about my thinking of this.

A hypothesis on coronavirus from anthropological view point

The author and his wife had a question "Why is the number of the persons infected with coronavirus and the deads in the East Asia lower than in the West?".
Once they watched an NHK TV program. It was "the special feature of liquor and an infectious disease".
Then they got intuition that there were some relations between the immunity to coronavirus and the gene (nondrinker gene).
Thus he formed a hypothesis.
The person who has a nondrinker gene cannot hold his liquor, and his immunity to coronavirus is so strong that it never makes him get sick. Or he will not be serously ill. There are lots of those persons in the East Asia.
On contrary, the person who doesn't have a nondrinker gene can hold his liquor and his immunity to coronavirus is so weak that it makes him get sick and he will get seriously ill.
There are lots of those persons in the West.
He led the study team and finally proved his hypothesis in this book.

Today's chips in the class

Teacher was interested in this hypothesis and made some comments. Speaking exactly, the gene influences on enzyme. Actually, a specific enzyme transforms acetaldehyde into vinegar. When the person can hold his liquor, the enzyme does fast. Or it does slowly.

  • long time no see.... long time no see without seeing you. Nice to see you again.

Also some members said. The person who can hold his liquor the more must gets aquired enzyme the more by making a habitis of drinking much. I wonder if he gets sick easily?
