Diagram is over

Key Sentence is  I ‘ve finished doing my homework.

The VERB ‘have finished’  has OBJECT  ‘doing’  that’s gerund.

We don’t say that I finished to do my homework.

Practice

Such verbs as ‘finish’ are stop, quit, give up, enjoy, consider, image, mind

Just stop calling me, OK?

I enjoyed working with you guys..

I ‘m considering buying a new computer.

Can I stop tapping your pen?

Have you ever considered joing the drama group?

Would you mind explaining what’s going on here?.

Concerning these verbs, We have the idear in mind.

The idea is that.

These verbs have the object not to-infinitive but gerund.

That’s why these verbs require concreteness.

At first when we finish something, it is necessary to describe the concrete and real situation.

Such verbs as ‘finish’ are stop, quit, give up, enjoy, consider, image, mind

Each gerund recalls me to the concrete situation.
